About Us

LoFT A+D was formed with a vision to create architecture under a true spirit of inclusion and collaboration. With business integrity as a primary value, we have set out to offer thoughtful and engaging service based on over 6o years of combined experience in Design and Architecture.

With every project, no matter what size or scope, we strive to balance pragmatism and technical rigor with exploration, curiosity, and creativity.  We enjoy getting to know our clients and their goals, as well as working in association with other talented professionals in the design field.

As a majority women-owned firm, we place high value on diversity and inclusion in our field. While, like many other professions, architecture has a long way to go in representation, we strive to build relationships that support underrepresented businesses and communities. We stand against racism and discrimination, of any kind. We support efforts for social equity and aspire to make this a priority in our own firm as well as our approach to design, by engaging in community outreach and promoting inclusionary and accessible design.

We recognize the burden the built environment has on the natural environment and human health through its impact on natural resources and as a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. We also recognize that the burden of the effects of the current climate crisis are largely borne by underrepresented and disadvantaged communities. We acknowledge the responsibility and opportunity we have as designers to promote and support sustainable building strategies for the health and well-being of all. As a signatory to the AIA 2030 Commitment, we support the goals of Architecture 2030 to “achieve a dramatic reduction in the energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the built environment; and to advance the development of sustainable, resilient, equitable, and carbon-neutral buildings and communities.” We support our clients’ sustainability goals through strategies such as reduction in energy consumption, sustainable materials, and healthy interior environments.
